The PNI was founded in the fall of 1906 under the leadership of Reverend John Moneta, pastor of the Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Worcester. The first quarters of the P.N.I Club were the Parish rooms provided by the Church and were only opened for the convenience of the members on the days when the organization held its monthly meetings. On May 9, 1933 the P.N.I moved its quarters to Boston Hall on Millbury Street. Then in 1955, after membership grew, a building was built on Foyle Street. Then, with the building of the Worcester Expressway, the P.N.I relocated to 290 Millbury Street on Pulaski Square in 1962.
